Accommodations

Steppingstone Cottage is a home with 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 1/2 bathrooms in Baxter-Brainerd, MN. Bedrooms are beautifully furnished and artfully decorated to accommodate up to 8 guests. Each room has plush single beds with linens and towels provided. Steppingstone  Cottage offers a relaxing atmosphere and ample space to work on your special interest projects. While I do cater to quilters, I believe that groups enjoying other forms of creativity will find inspiration in this quiet and art-filled setting. I invite you to share my home (away from home). It is smoke free and user friendly. I truly enjoy creating a special weekend or weekday retreat for you and your friends. The goal of the weekend is relaxation and fun while having the freedom to create as much or as little as you wish.“Let us serve you as you build that precious masterpiece for generations to come.”

Arrival/ Departure:

I am flexible both in arrival and departure times. I wish to accommodate your schedule and your needs as much as possible.

Meals:

Generally, all meals are served in the dining room separate from the creative/quilting area. You can work on your project all day and all night, you are free to determine how you spend your time.

At Steppingstone Cottage, there is not a “set” menu. Meals are often designed around the particular group present and individual preferences, however, ‘homestyle’ might best describe the many and varied offerings. Seasonal entrees, local specialties, home grown and regional favorites are all part of our offerings. Many of the meals are served ‘personal chef’ style. Sometimes a buffet service is in order since we also know that serious quilters can’t always start and stop on cue when in a prolific brainstorm mode.

Your price per person includes:

• Overnight sleeping accommodations (upstairs)
• All linens (Bed and Bath) provided
• All your meals

• Your own 4 ft. work table
• Extra table for cutting and layout
• Individual task lights that can be adjusted
• Task chairs with built in lumbar support, pneumatic seat height adjustment & dual wheel casters for easy movement
• Iron and ironing board

What to Bring:

• Your sewing machine and all your needed supplies
• You are welcome to bring your own wine, beverages, snacks/munchies
• CD’s (Cottage has a selection-you may have your favorite music to create by)
• All your needed supplies for creating your masterpiece.
• Your enthusiasm, walking shoes (in case you want to stretch your legs), project supplies, and creativity!
